Mother of Cities - the 1st in my Prague series of poems
|
The 1st of my Prague poems – published in ‘Prague Tales’ in 2007.
http://new21.wordpress.com/meet-our-authors/prague-tales/ There is an error in the bio - I was born in a refugee camp in Germany to Czech parents. I do not have a Czech version of this as yet although I have been asked to write one.
Mother of Cities
Unseen home Tugged at my Heart for years Shadows of Prague Haunting my Soul long before Pre-ordained First encounter Powerful Emanation Of beauty Even though clothed In cloak of Intentional Oppressive Decrepitude
Overdue Restoration Re-polished Jewel of light Refracting Prism of love Touching all Whose paths cross hers Praha – matka mÄ›st!
