This was written after an ex-lover said that the only way he would believe that I was thinking of him when I wrote a lyric was if it contained the words ‘brain fade’. So I went home and wrote ‘Brain Fade’. I have had to adjust the lyric several times to reflect different singers. Originally, I thought our former partner, Doris Spain, would sing it. After Ciba wrote the music to it, he decided that they would sing it together alternating verses. For the cd, he sang it alone.
Enjoy!

| A song about standing a girl up at the altar – this song was written by one of Ciba’s friends, Jan (Honza) Fischer in Czech. The English lyrics are mine.
Jana (Janey Age – lead singer Voodoo Monkey Child) and Iva (Ravenhouse – ravenhousemusic.com) lend their awesome voices to the ending. --- |

Evidently the e-mail Ciba & Rhythm on 22nd received from Our Stage about their song being in the quarter finals was an error per this new e-mail. hmmmmm............ok.........
|
| Per an e-mail from Our Stage If It's Time is in the quarter finals and we need to promote voting/judging through Sunday to move up and possibly get into the top 10, but on the banner Our Stage has provided, it seems like Ciba & Rhythm on 22nd is out of the running. Since the top 100 are in the quarter finals, I'm wondering why Our Stage has set up the banner to look like judging is over for them. Confusing and misleading as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps the powers that be don't think 'If It's Time' has a chance, but they shouldn't arbitrarily make it look like voting for it is over on the promotional banner they provide. You can click on 'listen to my song', listen to it and then click on judge and judge between the 2 songs that show up. To judge more, you may have to sign on and join Our Stage.

Ciba & Rhythm on 22nd’s song, If It’s Time is in the quarter finals on Our Stage. It is currently 89th in World. I’ll admit the song is longer than most but there is an interesting change just past the halfway mark. They need votes but to vote on Our Stage, you have to sign up and you cannot just choose to vote for them. The way it works - from their FAQs: How does the ranking engine work? The ranking or judging is done via two patent-pending algorithms that serve up top ranking, middle ranking and newly uploaded material in a channel in a fair and unbiased fashion for someone to judge. We are careful to make sure that each media item in the channel gets equal exposure this we guarantee. Depending on how much our users like something (i.e. rank favorably), and how long they want to keep on judging, the ranking engine will try to get users to determine just how much a particular item is liked over other ranked items. This way users may see the same item coming up during several battles. Our site users who act as judges cannot request material to rank. And they have to view or listen to the material served for a minimum of 15 seconds each before they can rank one item over another. After all of the rankings from all of the users are tallied, the best music bubbles to the top! http://www.ourstage.com/about/faqs#faq465a
Please find it in your hearts to listen to their song, sign up on Our Stage and judge in the World category. Thank you!!!!!!! --- |

An excerpt from Part 2 – Separation of ‘Dearest and Most Precious: A Love Journal’ and a track on the Ciba & Rhythm on 22nd cd – this was written when I was in the Czech Republic missing my honey as was all of Part 2. This was the first lyric I ever wrote after my cousin, Ciba, asked me to write some English lyrics for him. He wrote the music and recorded it on the Rhythm on 22nd cd. Of the 12 tracks on the cd, 8 have my lyrics (one was a collaboration).
Day 41
I miss you my baby I miss the way you feel I miss the way you talk And I’m willing to deal But I’m so far away All I can do is say I’ll be home soon
I want you in my arms I want to touch your face I want to kiss your lips And rest in your embrace But I’m so far away All I can do is say I’ll be home soon I need you close to me I need to see your eyes I need to hold you tight And hear your pleasured sighs But I’m so far away All I can do is say I’ll be home soon
