Altered Perspective
High over landscape
Of powdered sugar
Rock candy – the drama
Of day to day life
Pauses
Untamed beauty of
Existence allows
Dreamers to imagine
Swimming in ponds of
Creamy fog
String of time stretches
Hovering over
Unopened spaces of
Endless creative
Possibility

Blue & White Mood
Up above
expanded
horizon
Tempted to
reach down
to retrieve
Wisps of white
tissue and
wipe away
Salted tears
left behind by
unsatisfied
Dreams

I wrote this during one landing in Seattle (in total fog).
Soft Landing
Diving into milk
Of cooled air
We slowly sink
Toward the earth
Cushioned by the
Gentle breaths
Of angelic sighs

This is the 2nd poem in the series – written on a flight from Chicago to Seattle (flying over the Rocky Mountains).
Flying High
Pristine white sea
Layered blue streaks
Snow covered peaks
Break through soft quilt
Of cotton clouds

Every time I fly, I get inspired and write poems mainly based on what comes to me as I look out the window. So I started the Views from a Plane series of poems that I will share with you this month. Westward Bound is the 1st poem in the series. (I will be on the road for the next week so the postings may be sporadic.)

Timing prevents
Our joining in
The pursuit of
Serenity
As I fly away
You return home
And we miss each
Other all the more
In every
Available
Possible sense
From the 'Intimately Yours' cd available on CD Baby - soundscape by Chuck Berglund.
CLEAR BLUE SEA
Submersed in the clear blue sea of your eyes
I come up and gasp for air
Bathed in you - I forget to breathe
Nothing else exists
Only the two of us coming home
Sharing sheer bliss
No words necessary
Communicating none the less
Expressing joy at being together
Forgetting all pain
Touching each other without touching
Knowing all there is to know
